ATC TRAINING

Please note that this role must be taken seriously and that there is a lot of training and tests to undertake. Our ATC merit/ranking system works like this:

KMIA ATC S2: Has passed the recruitment S2 test. He/She is not qualified to control yet but is allowed to continue to further tests and must take part in observation lessons.

KMIA ATC C1: Has passed the ATC C1 and S2 Test. He/She may have a practical assessment if the examiner thinks it is required. He/She is qualified to control as Delivery, Ground or Tower.

KMIA ATC C2: Has passed the ATC C2, C1 and S2 Test. He/She may have a practical assessment if the examiner thinks it is required. He/She is qualified to control as Center, Delivery, Ground or Tower.

KMIA ATC C3: Has passed the ATC C3, C2, C1 and S2 Test. He/She may have a practical assessment if the examiner thinks it is required. He/She is qualified to control as Departure, Approach, Center, Delivery, Ground and Tower.
Please note that if you join the KMIA Control GeoFS ATC Admissions Server, you must join the main server "KMIA Control" to be recognised as a member too.

PILOT TRAINING

All members of KMIA Control must undertake training and pass the Pilot Exams up to the Pilot P2 rank.
​
KMIA Control offers Pilot Training to all members to ensure that they understand how to communicate to Air Traffic Control and so that they know how to operate their aircraft safely and professionally in GeoFS.
Our Pilot Merit/Ranking system works like this:

Pilot P1: This is compulsory for all KMIA Control members (including qualified controllers) to take. It covers basics such as the phonetic alphabet, squawk codes and callsigns to use.

Pilot P2: This is compulsory for all KMIA Control members (including qualified controllers) to take. It covers material such as IFR and VFR Clearances, SIDs and STARs and different types of Landing Approaches.
Please note that if you join the KMIA Control GeoFS Pilots Training Server, you must join the main server "KMIA Control" to be recognised as a member too.
